The National Association of African Americans in Human Resources – Greater New York is committed to preparing human resource professionals through education, workshops, information services and support systems to ensure that HR is an essential and effective partner in developing and executing organizational strategy within each member’s respective organization. We are equally as committed to ensuring that we support our future HR leaders who are engaged in completing their education in this field of study.

Annually, we provide scholarships to a person(s) in the study of human resources management, or a related field.  The scholarship is awarded at our Annual Symposium.

Scholarship Requirements

Requirements for the  UNDERGRADUATE/GRADUATE scholarship  are:

  • Currently enrolled and attending class at an accredited college or university in the New York City metropolitan area.
  • Must be pursuing an undergraduate/graduate degree in Human Resources or related fields such as Organizational or Development Behavior.
  • Must have successfully completed at least two or more HR related classes and currently enrolled in at least one HR related course.
  • At least a 3.00 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
  • Must participate in community service and/or extra curricular activities.
